		<description>Hi Alain,

I agree with you entirely - the industry is going through a significant structural change and this presents many opportunities for innovative new approaches and businesses (as well as threats to the incumbents who do not respond effectively).

Thanks for the link to the slides also, very interesting presentation.

		<description>Steve,
this is a very interesting post.

A point that, I think, is missing relates to the opportunities that this servitization of the industry is going to offer : there is many opportunities, not only for the software vendors but also for some kind of middle men, namely the Business Services companies.

You&#039;ll find a, t very interesting presentation, that I had the chance to attend. It&#039;s from Lemon Operations and is named &quot;Cloudy Channels&quot;. You&#039;ll find some ideas from this one : http://www.slideshare.net/Lemon_Operations/baas

Best Regards</description>

<description>Thanks Abe, it&#039;s very disruptive but creates huge opportunity for those who navigate the change correctly. It&#039;s fascinating to watch the larger software vendors in particular work their way through the changing landscape and continuously evolve their position on SaaS.

		<description>Steve

Great article, as you&#039;ve noted they don&#039;t call SaaS the most disruptive technology change in the software industry for nothing.

Cheers,
